Chloe Meyer of Wahiawa was crowned the 57th Annual Healthy Baby Winner on Halloween Sunday. The 2-year-old from Wahiawa is Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawaii's new Healthy Baby Contest winner, beating out 49 other toddlers on Oahu in today's final round at Ala Moana Centerstage.
In addition to the crown, Chloe, daughter of Kaipo Meyer and Lyndsey Correia, was awarded a $2,500 U.S. Savings Bond by Meadow Gold, as well as gift certificates and many other prizes.
The other winners in the 57th annual Healthy Baby Contest are:
Second place: Jordyn Imig of Waipahu, 2, daughter of Tyler and Christen Imig. She was awarded a $1,500 U.S. Savings Bond.
Third place: Israel Kamai of Honolulu, 2, son of Hiapo and Nicole Kamai. He was awarded a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond.
Fourth place: Hilina‘i Holt of Honolulu, 1, daughter of Cheston Holt and Mariah Hugho. She was awarded a $750 U.S. Savings Bond.
Fifth place: Kairo Duncan of Kapolei, 2, daughter of Kaipo and Krista Duncan. She was awarded a $500 U.S. Savings Bond.
Contestants were judged on physical appearance, healthiness and personality and competed in two preliminary rounds at Pearlridge Center on October 16 and Ala Moana Center on October 23. About 200 babies registered to enter the contest. The 50 highest-scoring contestants in the preliminary rounds made it to today's final round.
In a separate costume contest, Liam Murphy, 2, of Aiea was named the winner. Liam, son of Shawn and Jennifer Murphy, was dressed as a milkman, a rare costume that even impressed emcee Michael W. Perry of KSSK Radio.
The winner of an online People's Choice photo contest was 2-year-old Jayci-Ann Kuromoto, daughter of Jason and Cori-Ann Kuromoto. The public was asked to vote for their favorite finalist at healthybabycontest.com in three days of balloting and Jayci won with about 450 votes.
